The Bard and the Bishop turned 2 today!

((As in, apparently this blog is ONE year old…? Which is weird because I was sure I made it in September or October of 2012… Tumblr, you are odd.

Honestly. I don’t even know.))

"Mr. Clockmaker, tell me truthfully. How drunk are you right now?" - Evvie

"…? I’m not drunk at all…"

"I said it was tempting, not that I would actually do that- or that I could in the first place." Not that it wouldn’t be funny, just was unnecessary.

"Somehow, even if you did do such a thing, it would backfire." He made a face. "Ace is…funny like that."

"Haha… ha… It’s scary that you aren’t even joking. Either it would backfire or it’d work TOO well."

"Please don’t. My office reeks enough as it is." He made a face, nose crinkling in disgust. "I’d just have a mess to clean up."

"I didn’t do it."

"I’m quite certain you did," answered Evalynn in a deadpan. This was Ace she was talking to, after all. "Whatever you’re telling me you didn’t do, the likelihood that you DID do it is great. So then, what is it you supposedly did not do?"

"That’s right," he responded solemnly. "They get bored without skilled opponents, but then they sulk when they lose to a skilled opponent, so it’s a mess either way~" He had roughed them up quite a bit, but it was he who had declared that they had lost; in their minds they were almost certainly still fighting him, this was just their next move.

"Those two… are children through and through." It didn’t matter how big or small they were, they remained children. "My guess is you didn’t get hurt in any way yourself?" She sniffed the air, just in case, not that she would easily be able to smell blood. "They’re not weak, and there are two of them… Come to think of it, what are fights like between you and those twins?”

"They aren’t weak; they’re a little on the slow side though. Those axes do make up for their shorter range, but they’re also unwieldy, even for experts~" he explained. "I’m faster than them, and stronger, so it takes both of them attacking in coordination to get anywhere. That though, they do perfectly." He chuckled quietly; fights with the Twins, while not the most challenging, certainly weren’t boring either.

"They are twins, so coordination makes sense.” This was accompanied by a nod of the head, the motion unfamiliar to her. “I feel only a little sorry for them, and not even because they lost. It was probably more their fault that a fight started, wasn’t it?”

"I need a hug." - Evvie ((From mun to Ace- "You're so weird (in a good way)."))

"Happy to oblige~" A moment later the bard was pulled into a tight hug that teetered just on the edge of being painful. He didn’t ask if anything was wrong - if she wanted to tell him she would.

To the mun:

"I feel like I hear that a lot…"

((Because you ARE weird, maybe?))

"… Oof…" Well, she had requested a hug, it was only her fault if this was a touch too tight. Returning the hug, Evvie asked, "How long was your latest trip, or should I ask how long you’ve been on it?"

"I’m still on it actually~" was the cheerful reply. "I think Julius called for me about…75 time periods ago? Though it was difficult to count when I was stuck in the bottom of that pit~"

She wasn’t even surprised. “You have a talent, do you know that? It’s a talent that is perfect for you and that no one else would want.”

"Enough to get half of the role-holders drunk."

"How on earth did he carry that much?!" This was a rhetorical question that she waved off in a moment. "No, don’t answer that, I don’t want to know." A pause, and, "It’s so tempting to set a trap that will douse him in all that alcohol the next time he sets foot in the Clock Tower."

The knight blinked once or twice, visibly confused for a moment. “…Haha, wow, that means I beat them then~! The Hatter’s gatekeepers were picking a fight with me earlier today but they decided to be sore losers and it sounded like they had some kind of prank planned for you,” Ace explained quickly, in his usual cheery mood. “Something they were going to try to pin on me, can you imagine? Haha, but it looks like I was faster for once. Maybe they got bored and gave up?”

She might have slapped her forehead, opting instead to poke his cheek with the words, “I can, halfway at least. Does this mean you beat them soundly, that they decided to try to get payback in some way?” There was an even mix of amusement and resignation in her voice.
